Very excellent article about Dining Options! In my view Changes need to be made so that every student can eat both healthily and affordably. Thanks for open door ideas :)

Comment on The Pope and Condoms: What Would Jesus Do? by Taylor

Two major points:
1) It's Pope Benedict XVI, not XV.
2)It is very unclear as to what is meant by people use condoms with "good intentions." The Catholic Church has always held that sex should only take place among married couples and that married couples should not use condoms because sex is meant to be an expression of love of partner and of God that produces offspring. Thus, nobody should use condoms. Not anyone. Ever. This article totally neglects the Catholic Church's reasoning behind not allowing contraceptive use. To say that these restrictions are unnecessarily strict shows a lack of understanding for basic Catholic theology. In fact many Catholics disagree with the pope's decision to condone the use of condoms in these cases, because it suggests that there are cases in which not being monogamous is acceptable.

Also, this article makes the argument that married couples not ready to have children should use contraception. This again goes against basic Catholic thought. The purpose of marriage is to express love that produces offspring. To say you can be married and have sex just for fun without having an interest in reproduction goes against the fundamental Catholic concept of marriage.

The author of this article lacks any understanding of the church's ideals. He probably shouldn't be writing about them.

Excellent article but you failed to mention that BJ is also Dr. lawson. With all the concern about healthcare inefficiency these days, one would think that physicians' voices would be the most sought out on how to better streamline and reform the complete nightmarish bureacracy that is the current Medicare/third party system. BJ has some fantastic ideas on this that would allow a return to the doctor/patient relationship of 40 years ago while lowering costs, improving access to care, and promoting better medical outcomes. As a former business owner, he also knows the ins and outs of proving health insurance to his employees. Who better in congress these days is better equipped to sort through and help develop intelligent healthcare reform than someone with both thorough medical training as a doctor as well as practical understanding of business economics than a guy like BJ Lawson? It just seems like a no brainer to vote for him. Can Price claim any of BJ's unique skillset?

Well done article. As a future physician and current Duke med student, I'm rooting for Lawson. He's got the experience, the knowledge and the principles to reform Washington. He seems sincere in his commitment to limited and Constitutional gov't. Thanks for the write up.
